Our Mission

Over the past week, Len and I have been discussing what we want to gain from homeschooling our kids. We've talked about our values, our goals and our own personal ideas of what education should be about. After putting it all together, we've written our mission statement for the 2013-2014 homeschool year, as well as dedicated our family verse.

Rogers Family Academy Mission Statement 2013-2014:

Rogers Family Academy seeks to foster Godly character, build strong family relationships, and create a life long love of learning, by teaching a Christian worldview, pursuing academic and life goals with passion, and purposefully following God's will as we walk together in life and in prayer.

Family Life Verse 2013-2014:

"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

The purpose of our homeschool mission statement and life verse is to help us, as parents and as a family, stay the path that God has led us down. Homeschooling is so much more than just an alternative academic education. It is a life choice, a choice to do life together!

In Christ,
Katrina plus five :)
